The details of this most revealing case will undoubtedly astonish most, if not all, of you. If I had not been a part of or witnessed it myself, I believe I would have considered it improbable if not impossible.

Although my presentation of this case begins very slowly with the College of Nurses of Ontario and starts by appearing to involve very little of significance, you will soon see that it touches to the heart of most problematic issues in health care that can not be cured by any miracle drug. It will not only expose the integrity of individuals, it will question the competence and trustworthiness of our legal system. Giant insurance corporations, unions, governmental bodies and boards, law firms, along with the College of Nurses of Ontario will be put under this, our, intense spotlight.

The simplest part of the case is between me and the College of Nurses of Ontario. But in proving my case, I have asked and received a mountain of documentation from Ms Marilyn Munro.

You, as the jurors, should know from the start that Ms Munro and I have been very close friends over the last several years. This friendship has developed through mutual respect and trust. For a number of years, I was the Medical Advisor for her small nursing company called Elite Specialty Nursing Services Inc. Even though I find her to be extremely attractive, warm, friendly, compassionate, and personable, our relationship has always remained as one of mere friendship. Fool that I be, I often see myself as her Abig brother@.

As it is, Ms Marilyn Munro still has trust that her issues will be properly resolved through normal channels such as the Ministry of Health, Provincial or Federal Government, the Law Society of Upper Canada, etc., etc. I personally do not know, but I do have a clear picture where my issue would end - the College of Nurses= lawyer has told me. So let us begin.
