EXHIBIT C-89 June 2, 2003 - GLOBAL HEALTHWATCH UMBRELLA's letter to the Premier of Ontario [ADDRESSES] A-0039 The Honourable Ernie Eves June 2nd, 2003 Premier of Ontario and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Queen's Park Main Legislative Building, Room 281 Toronto Ontario M7A 1A1 Dear Mr. Premier, On March 28th, 2003, I wrote to the Attorney General of Ontario, the Minister of Health and Long-term Care, and to the Chair of the Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council on serious matters of breach of law and misconduct on the part of the main protagonist, the College of Nurses of Ontario. Its direct and most vulnerable victim remains a Ms Marilyn Munro. An obvious supporting cast member for the College of Nurses of Ontario in their victimization that should be of specific interest to the Minister of Health and Long-term Care and the Attorney General of Ontario is listed as the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. Both the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board retain their authority by virtue of the Minister of Health and Long-term Care. It is, to my understanding, the responsibility of the Minister of Health and Long-term Care to manage, or oversee both the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and assure their authority is not misused. In spite of my efforts to draw the attention of the Minister of Health and Long-term Care to such a misuse of power and authority, I have not yet received a response to my letter of March 28th, 2003, more than sixty (60) days past. I did receive a reply from the office of Attorney General of Ontario which is identified in his files as reference # M03-02157, but this reply seemed to avoid the main issues. Though it has already been over a month since my second letter to The Honourable Norm Sterling and my e-mail solicitation to the entire Ontario Progressive Conservative Caucus, I have not heard so much as a suggestion of intent or interest. The College of Nurses of Ontario has surprisingly resurfaced with letters dated May 9th and 26th, 2003 to Ms Munro after a lengthy hiatus of over one year. Unfortunately, they are continuing to avoid correction of their misdoings and are attempting to place the onus on Ms Munro, the wrongly injured party. I believe that you, once fully aware, would interpret these letters in the same fashion as I have - coercion by way of threats and harassment. Taking advantage of the technology available, I have created and maintained a website so as to make available all relevant documentation in the most convenient way. You will find copies of all the mentioned letters in www.healthyumbrella.com. So that you do not have to go searching, may I recommend that once reaching the site you click onto the button labelled CASE DRIVER. On that page, you will find a column of bracketed access labels [EXHIBIT INDEX 0001]. Clicking onto anyone of these will bring you to an index of exhibits. You will find copies of the letters referred to indexed in the bottom part of that page. As you are the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, I am asking you to stress the urgency of the issues to both the Attorney General of Ontario and the Minister of Health and Long-term Care. As you are the Premier of this most progressive province, I am asking you to oversee that the wrongs are corrected properly. You will have noted that I have remained patient and been consistently considerate in directing these matters to the attention of those directly involved. I have no intention of playing politics with these serious concerns, I am not a political activist. But, I do expect that such consideration on my part to be returned by way of notification of intent. Thirty days, to my understanding, for a notice stating that you, the Minister of Health and Long-term Care, and the Attorney General of Ontario are looking into these concerns is not an unreasonable request. I trust that you will prompt the responsible Ontario Government Departments appropriately. You should note that the website, www.healthyumbrella.com, is not connected to a search engine, so it must be accessed directly from the internet. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Yours most humbly,
Brian J. Lynch M.D., D.P.H. Editor GLOBAL HEALTHWATCH UMBRELLA Post Office Box # 22003 1349 LaSalle Blvd. Sudbury, Ontario P3A 6A1 www.healthyumbrella.com e-mail healthyumbrella@canada.com |
